RECIPE: Christmas Chocolate Truffles - Sophia's (Chapter 22)

Christmas is coming up, and these truffles of Sophia's make a great homemade Christmas present:

Ingredients:

1 packet superwine biscuits

200g dried apricots, finely diced

25g butter

1/2 cup chocolate melts or pieces

4 tablespoons cocoa

2 tablespoons brandy

1/3 tin condensed milk

shreded coconut for rolling truffle balls in

Method:

  • Crush biscuits in the blender until they are coarse powder (or with a rolling pin in a bag!). Add diced apricots.

  • Melt butter and chocolate melts in a separate dish. Add cocoa, brandy and condensed milk.

  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry biscuit mixture and stir.

  • Get your hands into the mixture... and roll out truffle balls in your hands.

  • Pour dhreded coconut onto a plate and roll your balls through so that they are coated in coconut.

  • Enjoy!
